97% of applicants to the NETCC program need to update their contracts or practices to meet the requirements. Using the NETCC Sales and Installation Agreement is a simple way to help ensure compliance with the NETCC.

The NETCC Sales & Installation Agreement and new Approved Seller application are available as a bundle for $960 + GST (usually $1,280 + GST). To access this pricing, you must firstly purchase the Agreement at the standard price of $800 + GST. If you submit your application within 30 calendar days of purchasing the Agreement, your application fee will be reduced to $160 + GST.

Not applying to the NETCC? You can still purchase the Agreement

The Sales and Installation Agreement can help any business get a simple sales and quote contract, regardless of whether you are a New Energy Tech Approved Seller or not. It is $800 + GST and can be purchased independently at any time.

If your business previously purchased a similar template under the Clean Energy Council's Approved Solar Retailer program, you can get the NETCC Sales and Installation Agreement for free, provided your business is still trading under the same business name and is a current New Energy Tech Approved Seller. A copy of the NETCC Sales and Installation Agreement will be sent directly to the nominated contact email address held on file.

What does the Sales and Installation Agreement include and exclude?

The Agreement includes Terms of use, Customer quote and Terms and conditions of the sale including Sale of the system, Payments and refunds, Delivery and installation, Accessing premises, System performance, maintenance and STCs, System guarantees, Complaints and Privacy.

The Agreement does not include a site-specific system design and performance estimate nor the configuration and performance specification for the New Energy Tech you are supplying.

Who can use the NETCC Sales and Installation Agreement?

The NETCC Sales and Installation Agreement can only be used by businesses that have purchased a license to use it. If you haven't purchased the Agreement directly from the NETCC, you are not entitled to use the Sales and Installation Agreement.

What can I use the Agreement for?

Once you have purchased a license to use the Agreement, you can only use it for one purpose: to create contracts between your business and your end customers for the sale and / or installation of new energy tech. It cannot be used for any other purpose.

Can I share the Agreement with others - for example, a contractor?

No. The license is personal to your business and cannot be transferred, shared, sublicensed, or passed on to anyone else. If another business needs to use the Agreement, they must purchase their own license from the NETCC.

If I buy the NETCC Sales and Installation Agreement while applying to become an Approved Seller, will I automatically be approved?

Not automatically, but it does give you a strong head start. The NETCC Sales and Installation Agreement is compliant with the Code, so if you use it as-is, you can be assured that your contract terms will meet the NETCC requirements. However, if you make any changes to the Agreement, you are responsible for ensuring they are compliant with the NETCC.

To assess your application, you will also need to provide an example of a customer quote, your complaint handling procedure and examples of your advertising and promotional materials.

Can I change the Terms & Conditions on the NETCC Sales and Installation Agreement?

Yes. The Sales and Installation Agreement is a customisable Word document, so you’re free to edit it to suit your needs. However, any changes you make must still meet the meet all the NETCC requirements. If you're not sure whether the changes you’ve made comply with the Code, you can contact [email protected] for compliance advice.

Will the NETCC Sales and Installation Agreement be updated in line with Code changes, laws or other requirements?

The Sales and Installation Agreement will be periodically reviewed in line with emerging requirements. In some instances, previous purchasers may receive a new version of the Sales and Installation Agreement for free.
