The NETCC & Approved Sellers

The New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC) is a set of standards designed to protect consumers when purchasing new energy tech.

To become a New Energy Tech Approved Seller, a provider must demonstrate it meets the requirements of the NETCC and is committed to complying with its standards. It must show it produces fair and honest quotes for example, and honour warranties.

Approved Sellers will be audited to ensure their practices adhere to the NETCC, and customer complaints of alleged non-compliance will be investigated.

Know your consumer rights

In recognition of the program's benefits, the NETCC has been granted authorisation by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
