New energy tech can be a confusing space for consumers. The standards promoted by the NETCC aim to increase consumer confidence to purchase new energy tech. We run campaigns to grow awareness of the Approved Seller badge among consumers looking for new energy tech.
Some federal, state and local governments offer incentive schemes to encourage new energy tech uptake. Many choose to help protect customers using their programs by requiring retailers to be New Energy Tech Approved Sellers. In order to participate in these programs, you must become an Approved Seller and commit to meeting the consumer protection standards under the Code.
