Application trends

  • There were just over 2,100 signatories as of the meeting date, with notable growth in Queensland, due to the announcement of the Supercharged Solar for Renters program which requires participating business to be a signatory of the NETCC.
  • Application numbers were high in January 2026 with 68 new applications, the fourth highest month since the Code’s inception.

Compliance trends

  • There has been an increase in complaints received, with 148 in progress cases open as of 5 January 2026.
  • The sale and installation of batteries is a key driver of complaints, in particular where some companies request a deposit on a quote for stock they do not have and are unable to meet the installation date provided.
