Since its launch in February 2023, the program has continued to evolve and expand, reflecting the industry's dedication to maintaining high standards amid rapid technological and regulatory developments. In 2024, key activities included:
Into 2025, we will continue to develop the program by:
• preparing for the re-authorisation of the revised Code by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
• continuing to work with key industry, consumer, policy and government stakeholders towards the inclusion of other new energy tech
• working closely with dispute resolution bodies to create a framework that ensures clear pathways for new energy tech consumers to escalate complaints that are not resolved directly by providers.
