NSW Home Energy Saver program launches, requiring Approved Sellers

The NETCC Council welcomes today’s announcement by the NSW Government to require retailers to be New Energy Tech Approved Sellers to participate in its new Home Energy Saver program.

The program will offer eligible NSW households up-front discounts and loans for home energy upgrades, including rooftop solar systems, home batteries and a range of other home energy improvements.

The inclusion of Approved Sellers in this scheme will strengthen consumer protections, promote trust among NSW consumers and ensure products and services are delivered by reputable businesses.

Interest-free loans of up to $15,000 per property, are available as of today, for eligible NSW homeowners and landlords with a household income of $210,000 or less. Upfront discounts of $4,000 will be available later in 2026 for eligible NSW homeowners or renters that are concession card holders or have a household income of $80,000 or less.
